There are two options: Presentation should be only in English, or presentations can be bilingual; in native language and English (Please use the template to see how it should be presented).

Presentations in only native language will not be accepted to present.

Person-In Oral Presentation

Each oral presentation is allocated 15-20 minutes include question.
PowerPoint slides or Acrobat PDF for presentation on an LCD video projector are recommended.

All the presentation rooms will be equipped with: a computer running WINDOWS operating system, with MS Office, Acrobat Reader and a LCD video projector.

We recommend that presenters bring their presentation files in a format compatible with one of the above applications, with the files stored in a USB thumb drive (flash disk).

Presentation files can be uploaded into the computer in the assigned presentation room, in the morning of the presentation from 08:30 hrs onwards, or during the tea breaks. There will be an assistant in the room to help you.

Online Oral Presentation

Person-In Oral Presentations have priority; only in lack of person-in oral presentation, online oral presentation will be accounted.
Each presentation has a 15-minute limit, including a 10-minute talk and a 5-minute Q&A session. Please adhere to this time frame!

Notes for Section Chairmans at ICEB2024

People who register to ICEB2024 offering an oral contribution will be asked to indicate the focus session in which they wish to present. Their names, presentation titles, abstracts etc will then be passed to the Section Chairmans who will decide which presentations they would like to include as talks, and which might be better suited to an alternative session. Section Chairmans are free to invite speakers to contribute to their session. The final deadline for submission of abstracts is 15th July 2024 and the final programmes should be decided by 22th July 2024. (The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to July 20, 2024, and the final programm anouncement has been postponed!).

We propose a free format. Inevitably, some sessions will be under greater pressure/demand than others. Our suggestion is that in those sessions under a big demand there should be more shorter talks [e.g. 15 mins (10 min talk + 5 min questions)].

The Committee also considered poster session format at some length. The pros and cons of having a brief formal presentation for each poster or having all presenters standing by their posters simultaneously were discussed.
