ICEB2023

Invitation

The organizing committee of the ICEB2023 extends a warm welcome to all life scientists who want to contribute to biodiversity of Eurasia. The conference will be convened, for the first time, in Andijan State University (Uzbekistan) during 15-17 May 2023. 

This conference has been planned with the intention of encouraging connections with and resurrecting the research ecosystem through strategies within Eurasian states, particularly Turkish countries. 

The organizing committee and host institutes will address solutions for sharing knowledge and cooperating at this conference, focusing on the biodiversity of Eurasia. Future progress in partnerships among scientist will be built upon the recent strategies. 

It is such an honored to host ICEB2023, we are fully committed to ensure that the conference is productive, and every participant is comfortable both during online presentations as well as in-person in Uzbekistan, the land of the young.

Uzbekistan is located in the heart of Asia, with Andijan as one of its largest cities. There are no direct flights from European countries to Andijan. That is why you comes to Tashkent first. You can go from Tashkent to Andijan by plane, train or car.

Accessibility:

The Andizan Airport is about 9 km from the Andijan state university and about 5-6 km from the “Vella Elegant” Hotel, the “Bogishamol” Hotel and the “Royal” Hotel.

Access to Andijan State University is easily available by public transportation or Taxi. During the days of the conference, our university will not be asked from guests for a permit to enter the university.

Language 

The official languages of the Conference are Uzbek and English. However, manuscripts will be accepted only in Uzbek, Turkish, Azerbaijani, English and Russian; while the oral presentations can be held in any Turkic languages, English or Russian.

The conference will be held in-person and online (zoom) in the Hybrid option.

Publication

Accepted articles will be published in Electronic Conference Book with international online ISSN-NUMBER.

Letter of Invitation 

Participants requiring a formal letter of invitation to enable them to make their arrangement to participate in the Conference may receive a letter automatically once they have registered. Please note that this letter cannot be regarded as a commitment regarding scheduling or financial support from the organizers. 

Liability and Insurance 

The Conference Secretariat and Organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants and accompanying persons. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Instructions for Preparing the Article

Type of Presentation: 

1. There are four types of presentation which are IN-PERSON ORAL and ONLINE-ORAL.
2. Since the number of articles for oral presentation is limited, the committee reserves the rights to assign the appropriated articles for oral presentation.

Article Formats and Requirements : 

Submitted materials should be in line with the main thematic areas of the conference. The manuscript must be completed in the following order:

1. The name of the article (in the middle, in capital letters, in black font);
2. Author(s) name and surname, in the middle, in small letters, in black font;
3. Full name of the organization, name of the country;
4. Corresponding author's e-mail address;
5. Abstract and keywords in English (no more than 150 words);
6. Main text of the article in Uzbek, Turkish, Azarbaijani, English and Russian (2-5 pages); click here for an example
7. List of used literature.

Limitations: The page length of the manuscript should not be less than 2 pages and not more than 5 pages. It is recommended not to exceed 10 references. It is recommended not to have more than 4 pictures and 3 tables.

Rules for formalizing the text of the article: Use 21 x 27.9 cm (A4 paper size). Text editor – Microsoft Word; Format – .doc (docx); Font size – 12; Font – Times New Roman; Interval between rows - 1; Letter head - 1.25 cm. Page parameters: 3.0 cm from left; 2.0 cm from the right; 2.5 cm is left from the top and bottom. Text pages are not numbered. Formulas and Latin names (species, genera, etc.) are written in italics. Graphic materials (pictures, diagrams, schemes, etc.) must be of high quality.

All articles included in the conference collection will be included in the “Google Scholar” database. The articles deemed the best by the scientific committee are included in the “Scopus” database (the articles can be sent to the author for re-editing).

Person-In Oral Presentation 

Each oral presentation is allocated 15-20 minutes include question.
PowerPoint slides or Acrobat PDF for presentation on a LCD video projector are recommended. 

All the presentation rooms will be equipped with: a computer running WINDOWS operating system, with MS Office, Acrobat Reader and a LCD video projector. 

We recommend that presenters bring their presentation files in a format compatible with one of the above applications, with the files stored in a USB thumb drive (flash disk). 

Presentation files can be up-loaded into the computer in the assigned presentation room, in the morning of the presentation from 08:30 hrs onwards, or during the tea breaks. There will be an assistant in the room to help you. 

Online Oral Presentation 

Each oral presentation is allocated 15-20 minutes include question.

Notes for Section Charimans at ICEB2023

People who register for ICEB2023 offering an oral contribution will be asked to indicate the focus session in which they wish to present. Their names, presentation titles, abstracts etc will then be passed to the Sectiom Charimans who will decide which presentations they would like to include as talks, and which might be better suited to an alternative session. Sectiom Charimans are free to invite speakers to contribute to their session. The final deadline for submission of abstracts is 17th April 2023 and the final programmes should be decided by 22th April 2022. 

We propose a free format. Inevitably, some sessions will be under greater pressure/demand than others. Our suggestion is that in those sessions under a big demand there should be more shorter talks [e.g. 15 mins (10 min talk + 5 min questions)]. 

The Committee also considered poster session format at some length. The pros and cons of having a brief formal presentation for each poster or having all presenters standing by their posters simultaneously were discussed. Again it was decided that co-conveners could decide and that it was OK to have variation between different poster sessions. The thinking was that, if space allowed, all posters would remain up for the duration of the conference.

Registration and online participation fee will not be charged.

Direct participants in the conference. Those who wish to directly participate in the conference should indicate this in the application form. Direct contribjutors must pay $150 (no separate article fee). A hotel (3 days), 3 local meals and a trip to the sights of Andijan region will be organized for the direct participants at the expense of the contribution money.

There is a fee for publishing the article only authors from Uzbekistan: A separate subscription fee is paid for each publication in the conference proceedings. There is a fee of $15 per manuscript regardless of the number of authors, except for direct contributors. Foreing scientists will not pay any fee.
